Complete landscape construction
The whole backyard, built in the right order by one crew: excavation, drainage, walls, paving, turf and planting.
One crew, start to finish
We build the whole project ourselves. The people who quote your job are the people on site, so nothing gets lost between trades and you always know who to call.
What a complete build can include
- Site clearing, excavation and soil removal
- Drainage: ag lines, pits, channel drains and stormwater connections
- Retaining walls, steps and garden edges
- Paving and entertaining areas, paths and pool surrounds
- Soil preparation and new turf
- Planting: trees, hedging, screening and garden beds
- Irrigation and conduits for garden lighting
Built in the right order
- Site preparation and excavation. Clearing, digging out and setting the levels.
- Drainage and services. Ag lines, pits and stormwater, before anything covers them.
- Walls and footings. Retaining walls, steps and edges that hold the levels in place.
- Paving and entertaining areas. Laid on a compacted base, with the falls set.
- Soil, turf and planting. Prepared soil, new lawn, garden beds and trees.
- Irrigation and handover. Watering set up, site cleaned and a walk-through with you.
The order matters. Drainage and walls go in before anything is built on top of them, and that’s why the finished yard lasts.
New homes and established yards
New builds usually hand over with compacted fill, builder’s rubble and no drainage beyond the downpipes. We clear the site, set the levels against the house and fences, connect the drainage and build the yard from the ground up.
Established yards come with things worth keeping: mature trees, good paving, a lawn that just needs help. We work around them, remove what has to go, and fix the problems underneath, like poor drainage or failing walls, before building over them.
Working on your property
- Access planned first. We check side access, gates and driveways at the site visit, and plan machinery and deliveries to suit.
- The house protected. Paths, driveways and walls next to the work are protected where machinery and materials come through.
- A tidy site. The site is tidied at the end of every day and cleaned properly at handover.
- One point of contact. You talk to the person running the job, not a call centre.
A clear quote and timeline
After the site visit you get an itemised quote written for your block, and a timeline before anything starts. No set packages and no vague lump sums. If you’d like the levels, materials and planting settled first, we start with landscape design and planning.
Why one crew matters
When a backyard is split between a separate excavator, wall builder, paver and landscaper, each one works around the last one’s mistakes, and nobody owns the result. Water from a wall drain has to go somewhere the paver didn’t plan for. Levels drift. With one crew, the levels, falls and drainage are set once and every stage is built to fit the next.

Construction: common questions
How long does a full backyard take?
It depends on the size, the access, and how much wall and drainage work is involved. You get a timeline with your quote, before anything starts.
Can the project be built in stages?
Yes. If it suits your budget, we can plan the whole yard and build it in stages, starting with the drainage and structure.
Do you do the drainage and walls as well?
Yes. They’re part of every build, and the first things we get right.
Do you landscape new homes?
Yes. We take new builds from bare fill to a finished yard: levels, drainage, walls, paving, lawn and planting.
What if access to my backyard is tight?
We check access at the site visit and plan for it, including smaller machinery and how materials get in. It’s reflected in the quote, so there are no surprises.
Can you work alongside my pool builder or builder?
Yes. We plan our stages around theirs, so drainage, levels and paving around a pool or a new extension fit together.
Still got a question? Ask the person who’d build it.
Like what you see? Let's talk.
Every project starts with a site visit. Book yours and get an itemised quote written for your block.
They took the time to listen to my ideas, offered thoughtful suggestions, and turned what was a pretty dull space into something that actually feels like an outdoor retreat.
You can tell they actually care about the details, everything looks clean and well finished. They used good quality materials too, not the cheap stuff.
They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and paid attention to the small details. The paving and lawn came out great, and they left the place spotless after.
Always listening carefully to instructions and making sure the work was completed exactly as requested.
