FAQ
Straight answers
What do you build?
Design and planning, full landscape construction, retaining walls, paving and entertaining areas, turf, planting, and irrigation and drainage. One part, or the whole yard.
Can you do just one part, like a wall or new turf?
Yes. A single wall, a new lawn or a drainage fix is a normal job for us. We still look at the whole site so the new work sits right with what’s there.
How much will my project cost?
No set packages. After the site visit you get an itemised quote written for your block, so you can see where every dollar goes.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on the job: walls, levels and drainage all add time. You get a clear timeline with your quote, before anything starts.
Who will be working on my property?
Our own crew. The people who walk your block and plan the job are the people who build it.
Which areas do you cover?
We build across Sydney, including the Northern Beaches, North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, Hills District and Sutherland Shire. If your suburb isn’t listed, call and ask.
Can you fix a leaning wall or a soggy lawn?
Yes. Most of these problems come back to drainage, so we find where the water is coming from and fix that, not just the symptom.
Do you clean up during the job?
Yes. The site is tidied at the end of every day and cleaned properly at handover.
Do I need a design before you can quote?
No. For smaller jobs we can quote straight from the site visit. For a full backyard, we’ll usually recommend starting with a design so the levels, drainage and materials are settled before the build.
What happens at the site visit?
We walk the block with you, talk through what you want and how you’ll use the space, and look at the levels, soil, drainage and access. Then we send an itemised quote written for your site.
How should I prepare for the site visit?
Think about how you want to use the yard, what you want to spend, and anything you’d like to keep. Photos of gardens you like help too.
Can you work from my own plans or an architect's design?
Yes. We can quote and build from existing plans, and we’ll point out anything that could cause problems on site, like levels or drainage.
Will my project need council approval?
Most garden work doesn’t. Taller retaining walls, walls near a boundary, work near protected trees and some structures can. We’ll tell you what applies at the site visit.
Do you take away the rubbish and old materials?
Yes. Waste from the job, like old turf, soil, rubble and offcuts, is removed, and it’s included in the itemised quote.
What happens if it rains?
Some work can carry on in light rain, but excavation, drainage and paving often wait until the ground dries out. If rain changes the plan, we’ll let you know and reschedule.
When is the best time of year to landscape?
Most work can be done year-round. New turf and planting establish fastest from spring to autumn, so it can be worth planning the build so they go in then.
Do you landscape new homes?
Yes. We take new builds from compacted fill and builder’s rubble to a finished yard: levels, drainage, walls, paving, lawn and planting.
Can you repair or extend my existing sprinkler system?
Yes. We repair leaks and broken heads, fix zones that won’t turn on, extend systems for new garden beds and fit smart controllers.
